Get Started

We’ll gather a detailed health history, including any chronic conditions, previous pregnancy complications, medications, and genetic factors. You may be asked to complete early lab work or bring documentation from a referring provider or prior OB/GYN to help us build a complete picture of your care needs.

Your provider will perform a physical exam, review your vital signs, and may order or conduct a high-risk ultrasound or fetal monitoring based on your stage of pregnancy. We’ll walk through your risk factors, answer your questions in detail, and start shaping a care plan built around safety—for both you and your baby.

You’ll leave with a personalized high-risk pregnancy care plan, including how often we’ll see you, which additional tests or specialists may be needed, and what to watch for between visits. Our team stays in close communication, with easy access to your provider if anything changes or new symptoms arise.

Not necessarily. Many high-risk pregnancies progress without major issues, but they do require closer monitoring to help prevent complications and respond early if concerns arise.

Possibly. While our OB/GYNs manage many high-risk pregnancies in-house, we may partner with a maternal-fetal medicine (MFM) specialist for advanced testing or co-management if needed.

You’ll likely have more frequent visits than in a typical pregnancy—often biweekly or weekly in the later stages—to ensure your and your baby's health.

Yes. High-risk care often includes extra ultrasounds, non-stress tests, blood pressure monitoring, and lab work to track your health and your baby’s development.

In many cases, yes. Your birth plan will depend on your individual risks and how your pregnancy progresses, but our team will help you understand all your options and feel empowered in your choices.

That history may classify your pregnancy as high-risk, but it also means we’ll watch things more closely. Many women with past complications go on to have healthy, full-term pregnancies with the right care.

Absolutely. Pregnancy anxiety, depression, or trauma from previous experiences matter just as much as physical health, and we’re here to support you holistically.

In most cases, yes—with some adjustments. We’ll help you understand what’s safe and create a plan that balances rest and activity based on your needs.

We’ll discuss your delivery options early, coordinate with your hospital or care team, and make sure a clear, safe birth plan is in place before your due date.
